The MAD130D-0150-SA-M2-BQ5-35-N1 is a size D frame servo motor, part of the MAD130 series of servo motors. This particular model offers a torque rating of 155 Nm along with a current rating of 61.5 Amperes; hence, a power supply capable of delivering such a high current is highly recommended to be used with this motor. This motor has a power rating of 24.3 kW which is equivalent to 32.5 hp. At a maximum speed of 7500 rpm, this motor can output torque of 375 Nm.
To help with accurately moving the shaft, the MAD130D-0150-SA-M2-BQ5-35-N1 servo motor comes with a Multi-turn absolute encoder that has a step resolution of 2048 steps which allows for high accuracy and precision in placing the shaft with a very low error rate. This encoder uses 5 volts DC to operate, consuming approximately 280 mA of current. The encoder generates square wave pulses whenever it hits a step, sending a feedback signal to the control module. The control module, as well as the encoder, come with memory to help remember the last known position of the shaft in the case of power loss.
This motor also comes with an electrically clamped holding brake that has a holding torque of 100 Nm. This brake helps the motor keep its shaft in a firm position to prevent it from rotating freely in the case of power loss or even when the motor is in the middle of an operating mode. This brake has a voltage rating of 24 volts DC with a 10% tolerance. The motor has a disengagement time of 65 ms while its engagement time is 110 ms.
