Product Description
First released in 2003, Rexroth’s MAD motor series has become the standard for asynchronous AC motors on the market today. Rexroth’s MAD motors specialize in industrial machines and applications, providing extensive features for control. Unlike the MAF motor series, the MAD motor series does not have a liquid cooling system. Instead, the MAD motor series uses a set of mounted axial fans. These mounted fans are placed along the axis of the shaft and direct air from side B to side A. Rexroth assigns the rear side of the motor as side B and the shaft side as side A. Derived from the famed MAD motor series, the MAD130D-0150-SA-M2-BM0-35-A1 is a specific product by Rexroth that incorporates axial cooling and multiturn absolute encoding.
Relatively, the MAD130D-0150-SA-M2-BM0-35-A1 boasts high nameplate ratings. At a rated speed of 1500 rev/min, this motor model supplies torque and power of 155 Nm and 24.3 kW, respectively. At a true power rating of 24.3 kW, the current draw of the motor along its line is 61.5 amperes. Due to its A-type bearing class, the motor operates safely at a maximum speed of 7500 rev/min. When allowed to drive at maximum torque settings, the MAD130D-0150-SA-M2-BM0-35-A1 transmits a torque output of 374.6 Nm. Without a blocking brake and external cooling fans, this motor weighs 165 kilograms, or about 364 pounds.
Other specifications and characteristics of the MAD130D-0150-SA-M2-BM0-35-A1 are in Rexroth’s project planning manual for MAD motors. Under the MAD130D datasheet, the rotor moment of inertia of this motor model is 0.164 kg (m^2). The datasheet also specifies the corresponding leakage capacitance of this model to be 30 nF. Owing to its cooling mechanism, the MAD130D-0150-SA-M2-BM0-35-A1 has a thermal constant of 30 minutes.
