Part of the MAD130 series of servo motors with size 130 mm and length D, the MAD130D-0100-SA-S2-AP0-35-N1 from Rexroth comes with thermal class insulation F keeping the motor protected against fires and thermal-related issues of up to 170 degrees Celsius. The manufacturer's recommended operating temperature for this servo motor is 0 to 45 degrees Celsius allowing this servo motor to operate without overheating. To ensure overheating is not achieved, this servo motor comes with an axial blower fan that requires 400 to 480 volts AC to function consuming up to 100 VA of power and providing a cooling rate of 1000 m³ per hour.
This motor features an electrically efficient design as it has a torque constant rating of 4.72 Nm/A when operating at a temperature rating of 20 degrees Celsius or below. The motor comes with a 3-pole design where each pole of phase is powered with each input phase of the 480-volt power supply with a frequency input of 50 to 60 Hz. Each pole is responsible for generating the electromagnetic induction needed to rotate the shaft of the servo motor allowing the motor to rotate at high speed very smoothly.
To protect the motor against dust and grim in an industrial environment, the MAD130D-0100-SA-S2-AP0-35-N1 offers an IP 65 protection rating against dust and moisture. The minimum size for dust particle protection is 2 mm while for water, the pressure must be at low levels as the International protection rating provides a level 5 protection rating against water. The maximum humidity this servo motor can be able to withstand during operation mode is 95 %. To store this motor, the temperature rating should be between -20 to 80 degrees Celsius.
