Product Description
The Rexroth Bosch's MAD130D-0050-SA-M2-AP5-05-N1 has a multiturn absolute encoder. The total number of increments is 2048 and is referred to as M2. It is an improved position-sensing device to measure the position of the motor concerning many revolutions. Compared with single-turn encoders which track positions in a single turn, multiturn encoders can retain the position data for up to thousands of turns. It is useful in those systems that require a fine measurement of position in industries such as packaging machines or robotic systems. The encoder also provides information in the form of pulses which would be appropriate to control movements. Multiturn absolute encoder helps the motor to always resume its function from the same position where it stopped due to power loss; it is very important for fast and continuous operations.
The electrically clamped holding brake with 30 Nm holding torque is also essential in this motor. This kind of brake acts like a power brake and stops any motion of the motor shaft through a clamping torque of 30 Nm. This is beneficial in vertical installation or any location where the position of the motor must be maintained during the stoppage. An electrically clamped holding brake provides a safety measure to prevent accidental movement and thus protect the motor and all connected components from the risk of getting damaged.
This motor has the standard bearings, that allow the shaft to rotate and maintain low friction. The benefits of standard bearings are durability, no need for continual lubrication, and noise-free operation. Multiturn encoders provide high-resolution positional information while the holding brakes ensure precision during starts and stop, and bearings ensure the long life span of this motor making it suitable for automated lines, and manufacturing industries.
