Product Description
Some applications of the MAD motors by Bosch Rexroth include machine tools, printing and paper-processing machines, metal-forming machines, and food-processing and packaging machines. They are asynchronous motors used as rotary main and servo drive motors.
The MAD130B-0250-SA-S2-RF0-35-N4 is an asynchronous box motor with a squirrel-cage rotor in the MAD series. Designed by Bosch Rexroth, it has a rotor moment of inertia of 0.0840000 kgm2. This rotor is robust and durable, with an impressive capacity to withstand mechanical stress. The MAD motor’s high efficiency is owing to the presence of standard-type bearings consisting of deep-groove ball bearings. These bearings absorb low to medium radial and axial forces and are suitable for high speeds. They can handle high rotational speeds without the risk of premature wear or thermal overload. This model’s bearing service life is estimated at 30,000 operating hours, according to ISO 281, provided that the motor is operated within the limits specified for radial and axial loads.
A single-turn absolute encoder with the EnDat2.1 interface is used for precise position detection in the MAD130B-0250-SA-S2-RF0-35-N4. It features a data memory where relevant parameters for commissioning the motor are stored. The MAD model is designed to attain a nominal speed of 2,500 revolutions per minute but can reach a maximum speed of 7,500 revolutions per minute. Its maximum torque is 176.5Nm, while its thermal time constant is 20.0 minutes. Its plain output shaft with a labyrinth seal guarantees a non-positive, non-floating shaft-hub connection with smooth running. The labyrinth seal protects it from fluids splashed at it. This motor has an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65, according to DIN 40 050.
