MAD130B-0250-SA-M2-BP0-05-N1 is a digital servo motor from Bosch Rexroth. It is known as a servo motor primarily because it supports digital feedback. A sensor, known as an encoder, is installed on the motor. The function of the encoder is to measure motor speed, position and torque. Several types of encoders are available: the encoder installed on the MAD130B-0250-SA-M2-BP0-05-N1 motor is a multiturn absolute encoder with 2048 increments and an EnDat 2.1 interface. Measurements made by the encoder are sent to a controller that is programmed with desired speed and position values. The feedback is sent via a dedicated feedback cable that connects the motor to the controller. The main shaft on the MAD130B-0250-SA-M2-BP0-05-N1 includes a key. The shaft is balanced with a full key. The motor does not feature an optional holding brake. However operators can order holding brakes for MAD motors if required. Only accessories approved by Bosch Rexroth should be used with the motor.
