Product Description
Rexroth Bosch's MAD130B-0200-SA-S0-AQ0-05-N1 motor has a plain shaft without the shaft sealing ring and balanced with the entire key. It is one of the simplest and most efficient features in the motor especially where simple design and balance are important. There is no sealing ring around the shaft, and the mechanical friction between parts is decreased, thus reducing wear.
The plain shaft does not have a shaft seal, and therefore it is recommended to use it where the environment is free from dust and moisture. When the motor rotates with a balanced key and the plain shaft, the transmission of torque is maintained without unnecessary vibrations. This balance is highly advantageous when used in systems that demand a specific torque output without additional mechanical load. There is no holding brake in this motor. It means that the motor moves freely in the desired direction when the power is off. A holding brake holds the motor's shaft at a standstill when there is no power supply.
Lacking a holding brake offers a less complex design, and low power consumption which is important when driving forces are minimal or the position needs to be kept fixed. For example, where a motor is driving a conveyor belt or a fan, it does this without utilizing a holding brake. It is suitable for industrial applications where high accuracy, low degree of wear and low cost of operation are desirable. In this motor, the shaft end is smooth and balanced, and the motor does not possess a 'clutch' to hold the load from rotation in case of power failure. These features make it suitable for industrial applications that require strength, accuracy, and reliability.
