Product Description
The MAD130B-0150-SL-S6-SP0-05-N1 is part of the MAD Asynchronous AC servo motors. These motors are also called induction motors as they do not feature slip rings like a traditional squirrel cage motor. The motor has two functional parts, one of which is the stator that remains stationary and features induction coils, also known as poles, for inducing magnetic fields. The other part is the rotor, which is the shaft that spins. With three poles, users can apply different frequency voltages to the coils to cause the motor to rotate at different speeds.
This particular model can produce speeds of up to 7500 rotations per minute using the standard bearings; however, the nominal rated speed of this motor is set to 1500 rotations per minute. The motor is specifically designed for high-speed applications such as yarn spinning machinery in the textile industry, and it is also intended to be integrated with drilling or CNC cutting/routing machines. For cutting and routing, it is recommended to use a compatible chuck adapter for a secure, tight fitting of the drilling bit. Since this motor is a servo, it can be used for controlling the axes of a laser engraving machine as well as controlling the rotation of the shaft with the help of an encoder.
Speaking of encoders, the MAD130B-0150-SL-S6-SP0-05-N1 features a single turn absolute encoder that is capable of controlling the position of the shaft with the help of 2048 increments that its controller uses to count the number of steps needed to reach a particular position. This kind of encoder is essential for accurate shaft positioning in robotics applications where accuracy is crucial for optimum performance.
