With a single-turn absolute encoder, the MAD130B-0150-SA-S2-AK1-05-N1 is a perfect servo motor that can be used for robotics applications to provide precise and accurate positioning. The encoder on this motor has a resolution of 2048 steps for one complete 360-degree rotation and also comes with the EnDat 2.1 digital communication protocol for communicating with the compatible control module. This motor comes with a balanced half-key design that allows users to attach a coupler to the shaft and provide a flat position of the shaft to allow the coupler screw to be placed flat and tightly on the shaft, helping secure the coupler and the attached component much more firmly.
This motor offers a torque of 80 Nm which is great for heavy lifting robotics as well as other industrial applications such as packaging machinery and molding machines. The motor also has a speed rating of 1500 rotations per minute when at rated operating conditions but can be further increased to its maximum speed of 7500 rotations per minute with the help of the standard type N1 configuration bearing that comes with this motor design.
To prevent the shaft from spinning or freely rotating without a control command, the MAD130B-0150-SA-S2-AK1-05-N1 features an electrically released 80 Nm brake that requires 24 volts DC to operate. This brake consumes 1.6 Amperes of current when engaged and has a moment of inertia of 0.002 kgms2. The disengagement time of this motor is 140 ms, while the engagement time is 50 ms. The maximum speed of the brake is 6000 rpm. This brake has a mass of 8 kg. The motor also comes with a 400-volt AC Axial blower to help keep the motor cool.
