The MAD motor series is one of Rexroth’s most famous squirrel-cage asynchronous motors. Motors in the MAD family employ surface cooling primarily due to their powerful set of axial unit fans. Aside from the MAD series, the other type of squirrel-cage motor by Rexroth is the MAF family series, which is popular due to its liquid cooling. In terms of construction, features, and inclusions, however, the MAD and MAF motors share several striking similarities. Both motor series incorporate IP 65 protection and class F insulation to withstand even the most unfavorable operating environments. The compact construction of both of these motor series makes them ideal for servo and main spindle applications.
The MAD130B-0100-SA-S2-BQ1-35-N1 is an efficient motor variation derived from the MAD motor family. Rexroth designed this motor model to continuously meet high-demand loads. Having a length of 632 mm and a weight of 105.2 kg, the MAD130B-0100-SA-S2-BQ1-35-N1 is meant as a heavy-duty motor for the most demanding applications. This motor model revolves 1000 times per minute during its rated or no-load condition. Due to the mechanical construction of its bearing, the MAD130B-0100-SA-S2-BQ1-35-N1 operates up to a maximum speed of 6000 rpm. Considering that the nominal and maximum torque of this motor are 100 Nm and 230 Nm, this motor model has unmatched driving capabilities.
At the rated motor speed, the current is almost 27 A, while the power is 10.5 kW. The MAD130B-0100-SA-S2-BQ1-35-N1 has an electrically released brake and an output shaft that incorporates a balanced set of complete keys.
