Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s MAD motors are compact induction motors with permanently-connected fan units. They are used as rotary main and servo drive motors in metal-forming machines, machine tools, printing and paper-processing machines, and food-processing and packaging machines.
The MAD100D-0250-SA-S2-BG0-05-A1 is a model of the MAD asynchronous box motors designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. Its single-turn absolute encoder with the EnDat 2.1 interface generates sinusoidal sin/cos signals (1 Vss) with 2048 periods per revolution and absolute period assignment within one revolution. It ensures the high-precision evaluation of the motor’s position. Thanks to its data memory, which contains important motor parameters, the time required for the motor’s startup is reduced. A mounted axial fan constitutes the cooling mechanism for this MAD model. It creates air currents guided by air baffles over the motor’s surface to provide surface cooling. The rated speed of the motor is 2,000 revolutions per minute, while its maximum speed is 9,000 revolutions per minute.
A-sided fixed bearings in the MAD100D-0250-SA-S2-BG0-05-A1 are built to absorb high circumferential radial forces. They consist of deep-groove ball bearings and provide increased availability, extending the motor’s service life, even under the effects of these bearings. These bearings also aid the motor’s noiseless operation and have a nominal service life of 30,000 hours. The output shaft in the MAD model is plain, providing a non-positive, non-floating shaft-hub connection with a high degree of smooth running. It also has a sealing ring designed according to DIN 3760 - Design A to prevent fluids from penetrating the motor through the shaft. Like other MAD motors, it is dynamically balanced according to EN 60034-14 and belongs to standard oscillating quantity level A.
