Product Description
The MAD100D-0200-SA-S2-AH0-05-A1 is an advanced asynchronous motor which has a permanent magnet squirrel cage rotor structure manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. Ideal for high power applications, the Rexroth IndraDyn A asynchronous motors, particularly the MAD series are blower-cooled for blowers in rotary drive applications. The motors are protected by an IP65 rating which enables the motors to be used in rough environments while they can be used for a long time with low or without any maintenance at all. When combined with Rexroth IndraDrive controllers, these motors form a system that is comprehensive and modular at the same time and can address a host of applications across various industries such as printing, food processing, metalworking among others where power density and adaptability are key considerations.
In order to regulate the heat produced in the course of its operation, the motor has a cooling system which is of forced air cooling type. This system entails installing permanently placed blowers at the back of the motor as a part of the system. These blowers are employed in order to continually blow air to the motor to cool it down and to maintain its temperature to a particular level in order not to overheat and cause damage to the various parts within the motor. The blowers are self-contained and are not interlinked with the motor's drive controllers and require independent power supply. Specifically, these are three phase blowers which implies that each of them has to be powered up independently. The device takes input voltages of 400V with the voltage variation allowed being +/- 15% and 480V with the voltage variation allowed being +/- 10%. The blowers are designed to operate at the standard voltage of either 50Hz or 60Hz hence can be used in any given region.
However, the blower has a power consumption of 125W but what is more vital is that it has an airflow rate of 360 m^3/h which is used to cool the motor and protect it. This makes the motor operate efficiently despite the fact that the motor is under a heavy load. Further, the motor has two temperature sensors KTY84-130 integrated in the control of the motor. These sensors are installed in a way that can assist in the detection of any high temperatures and therefore act as a safety feature within the system where in the case of high temperatures the system can immediately identify this and prevent it from overheating.
