The MAD100D-0200-SA-S0-AH1-05-N1 from Rexroth is a 54 Nm industrial grade servo motor that is perfect for high power demanding applications. This servo motor has a normal speed rating of 2000 rotations per minute and can increase it further to 9000 rotations per minute allowing it to be used for drilling and CNC milling applications as well. In the case where the motor does not follow the operating conditions, the MAD100D-0200-SA-S0-AH1-05-N1 servo motor can still provide a derated speed of 1500 rotations per minute.

This motor has a winding of 0200 and has a power rating of 11.3 kW. To keep the winding cool, the MAD series of servo motors come with axial blower fans that help the motor cool its coil down much more quickly. This servo motor is designed to be a much quieter piece of industrial equipment as it has a maximum noise rating of 75 dB even when the observer is standing at a maximum distance of 1 meter from the servo motor, after which the motor is considerably quiet. With the option of foot mounting users can mount the motor easily on a flat surface and with the reinforced body design the motor helps absorb overall vibrations in the motor further enhancing the operation.

To control the positioning of the shaft, the MAD100D-0200-SA-S0-AH1-05-N1 comes with a single-turn absolute encoder that has a step count of 512 increments. With each count of the increment, the encoder generates a 5-volt square wave pulse which then gets registered in the control module via EnDat 2.1 serial communication. The incremental count is then used to count the number of steps needed in order to reach a particular position or angle. The shaft of this motor is a fully balanced smooth shaft that helps reduce radial stress on the motor.
