Product Description
The MAD100D-0100-SA-S2-BG0-05-A1 is an asynchronous motor, which has been developed to perform in applications with a heavy load and where there is a need to set and control the speed and torque with high precision. This motor is of the popular MAD series in the Bosch Rexroth's IndraDyn A family and is designed to perform optimally in various industries. It is particularly useful in the creation of high torque, even when at low speed and this makes it ideal for use in industries such as; machine tooling, printing and textile. It has a robust and compact design and occupies a small area and can be connected easily with IndraDyn drive controllers.
During operation the motor MAD100D-0100-SA-S2-BG0-05-A1 generates a lot of heat which must be effectively dissipated so as not to overheat the motor windings. To overcome this challenge, the motor has been equipped with a forced cooling system which comprises a three phase axial blower mounted at the rear of the motor. This blower has the feature of accepting various input power supplies to cool the product and to maintain the motor's runnability. The blower part is connected to the power supply using cables and it also does not have controllers in its operation.
It is cooled with the help of an air flow which is directed over its surface with the help of air baffles. The fans should not be used in the areas that are exposed to contaminated environments such as abrasive particles, salt spray that may cause corrosion, high dust or flammable particles as recommended by the manufacturer. Contaminated air reduces air flow which results in heating up of the motor this may cause damage to the motor. That is why the fins and the fans of the system should be always in good condition to allow the most efficient airflow. Also it is suggested that at least 80mm should be left open for proper ventilation or cooling. The working temperature of the motor according to the manufacturer is 0 - 40 degree celsius.
