The MAD100D-0050-SA-M2-FP0-35-N1 is a high-torque, low-speed AC servo motor with a speed rating of 500 rotations per minute and can generate a rotational torque of 70 Nm. This motor is perfect for applications where torque is much more important than speed, for example, in positioning robotics or part-picking robots. This motor is capable of generating a maximum torque of 154 Nm at a peak speed of 9000 rpm; however, this motor is particularly designed to be operated at lower speeds.
To further increase the precision and accuracy of this servo motor, the MAD100D-0050-SA-M2-FP0-35-N1 features an M2 configuration servo digital encoder that is capable of counting both steps and the number of rotations the motor can perform. Each rotation is broken into 2048 steps, making every rotational angle much more fine and precise. The encoder disc is placed at the rear end of the motor along with the terminal box, making it easier for the operator to configure and debug the motor, allowing for easier maintenance and accessibility to the motor's internals.
Talking about protecting the motor's internals, the MAD100D-0050-SA-M2-FP0-35-N1 comes with an IP 65 Ingress Protection rating that keeps it safe from both dust particles and low-pressure water jets. The motor is also insulated against fire thanks to Class F insulation, which can allow the motor to withstand fires with temperatures of up to 170 degrees Celsius. To further protect the aluminum chassis of the motor, the MAD100D-0050-SA-M2-FP0-35-N1 comes with a black prime coat protecting the motor against corrosion and oxidation. The motor is designed to be mounted at lower heights but has a maximum height limit of 1000 meters above sea level for optimum performance.
