This induction, or asynchronous, motor by Rexroth Bosch is an AC motor in which the torque-generating electric current is produced by the electromagnetic induction from the stator winding. These motors are quite popular in different industrial uses because they are powerful, uncomplicated, and durable. In contrast, synchronous motors do not need an external supply to rotate the rotor.
MAD100C-0250-SA-S2-AP0-05-R1 has a connector on the A-side, and it is equipped with a driven shaft with a shaft sealing ring balanced with an entire key. The sealing ring is important as it stops any debris, such as dust or moisture, from gaining access to the motor, thereby damaging it. The key and the balanced shaft ensure proper torque distribution across the motor and connected machinery while avoiding vibration that causes wear to the motor and other machinery.
