Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s entrance into the industrial sector redefined the industry. The industrial floor is a dangerous place especially when running applications in explosion prone environments. To make it less hazardous for personnel, Bosch Rexroth designed and manufactured explosion-proof motors and drives. They are grouped in the Rexroth MAD and Rexroth MAF motors series. These motors are designed to support flange mounting or foot mounting. Rexroth explosion proof motors are manufactured according to the ATEX Workplace Directive and the ATEX Equipment Directive both of which are geared towards improving the safety of workers working in industries. However, for the motors to reach maximum performance, they have to be controlled by Bosch Rexroth drives and controllers plus Indramat series cables. Bosch Rexroth has designed high-performance asynchronous servo motors that not meant for explosive environments.
The MAD100C-0150-SA-S2-BG0-05-N1 is an asynchronous motor that belongs to the Rexroth MAD series of motors. The MAD100C-0150-SA-S2-BG0-05-N1 features an axial fan to keep the motor cool during operation. For feedback, the motor employs a single-turn absolute encoder with 2048 increments adding to its accuracy. Bosch Rexroth MAD motors are designed to be mounted, installed, repaired and or maintained by qualified persons. The Rexroth MAD100C-0150-SA-S2-BG0-05-N1 has its electrical connectors on the B side, has a shaft sealing ring, and lacks a holding brake. For mounting, the motor is designed for flange mounting since its weight and size are considerably small. Flange mounting is advantageous since the load and the motor are automatically aligned thus reducing or eliminating the chances of misalignment. The MAD100C-0150-SA-S2-BG0-05-N1 has a standard bearing system. Note that the Rexroth motors and adversely affected by faulty control devices.
