Product Description
The MAD100C-0150-SA-S2-AK1-35-N1, is an AC servo motor, which has the capacity to produce a large amount of torque at its output shaft. This torque as described by its maker is 48 Nm. While delivering this torque the motor achieves a very high-speed of 1500 rpm which makes it perfect for multiple industrial automation applications. In many applications, the motor is required to have an instant motion stop while rotating along its axis. To achieve this functionality this motor comes with a built-in holding brake. This is a permanent magnet type brake. It is an electrically released brake, which means by default this brake is engaged which means no rotational motion on the output shaft.
If there is motion required on its output side, then an electrical signal is given to the brake which will release it and eventually the motor will start running as long as the motor power is also on. This makes the brake to have a normally closed (NO) state by default. When engaged the brake has the capacity to hold a torque of 24 Nm. To power up this brake it requires a constant supply of 24 volts of DC at the 10% fluctuation rate. The rated current which this brake draws for its operation is 1.1 amperes.
This brake can hold a moment of inertia of 0.00056 Kgm2. The maximum permissible energy for this brake is 20000 WS. The time it takes for this brake to disengage when power is applied is 90 ms. Whereas the time required to engage this brake is 30 ms. The maximum speed of shaft at which this brake works well is 10000 rpm which is way higher than the speed of the motor as mentioned above.
