Product Description
The MAD100B-0250-SA-M2-AG0-05-A1 from Rexroth is a 100B series Asynchronous motor. This motor features a multiturn encoder which is an incremental type encoder with 2048 increments. This multiturn encoder is capable of accurately positioning the shaft and also counting the rotating with the help of the EnDat 2.1 digital encoder protocol. The EnDat 2.1 protocol is great for accurately reading and updating the shaft position of a motor. This is a unidirectional encoder protocol that allows both the motor and the control unit to send and receive data and also helps troubleshoot any errors that may occur during communication.
This motor can reach a maximum rotating speed of 9000 rpm which is very high compared to the other motors in the 100B series of motors. The high speed makes it a great candidate for applications that require quick movements such as wrapping or packaging machinery. This particular motor is also great for robotics applications given its high torque output of 28 Nm at a standstill while consuming a current of 16.8 Amperes.
Since this motor consumes approximately 16.8 amperes at high torque, the MAD100B-0250-SA-M2-AG0-05-A1 features an Axial blower fan that takes the surrounding air from the rear, passing it through the internals of the motor and exiting from the front. The motor is designed to be operated at a maximum of 40 degrees Celsius temperature and transported or stored at a maximum temperature of 80 degrees Celsius. The MAD100B-0250-SA-M2-AG0-05-A1 is IP 65 protected, making the motor immune to high jet water pressure or dust particles. This model does not feature a holding brake to prevent the shaft of the motor from spinning freely during power loss.
