Product Description
Perfect for applications that require a high torque rating, the MAD100B-0150-SA-S2-KQ0-05-N1 from the MAD series of servo motors designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat is a 1500 rpm servo motor with a nominal torque rating of 28 Nm. This motor can further increase its torque rating to 31 Nm while being used in applications that require the shaft to be locked in a particular position. Speaking of shaft positioning, the MAD100B-0150-SA-S2-KQ0-05-N1 comes with a 2048-resolution encoder that helps position the shaft of the servo motor finely and accurately. This encoder requires 5 volts DC to operate and draws around 28 mA of current. For every step or increment detected, this servo motor encoder generates a square wave pulse for the motor controller to register the data.
To establish communication between the motor controller and the encoder, the MAD100B-0150-SA-S2-KQ0-05-N1 uses the EnDat 2.1 encoder interface, which utilizes a two-wire connection for transmitting and receiving data. The communication protocol supports full-duplex communication mode. The EnDat protocol includes various data protection and encryption features to ensure the data transmitted and received is accurate.
The servo motor also features a 400 to 480-volt AC blower that keeps the motor coil well under temperature to ensure reduced power dissipation. It has a power consumption rating of 83 to 100 VA along with a current draw of 0.12 amperes. To ensure faster cooling, the blower on this motor has an airflow rate of 230 m³ per hour. The maximum speed this motor can output is 9000 rpm, achieved through its onboard high-speed bearings that require servicing after every 20,000 cycles of use and replacement after 30,000 cycles of use for prolonged life.
