Product Description
The MAD100B-0150-SA-M2-AQ5-35-N1 part of the MAD series of asynchronous motors is designed to be used with the KDS, TDM, and motor controllers and is made for machine tools, manufacturing, packaging, and robotics industries. This AC servo motor has a voltage rating of 170 to 480 volts AC, offers a rotational torque of 28 Nm, and has a power rating of 4.4 kW. The main highlight of this motor design is the use of a multi-turn absolute encoder that is capable of calculating and tracking the shaft position as well as counting the number of rotations the motor has performed, as it is a multi-turn encoder. The encoder has a resolution of 2048 increments and relies on the EnDat 2.1 communication protocol for data transfer between the motor control module and the encoder.
This motor has a standstill torque rating of 31 Nm and draws around 12.5 Amperes of current in the standstill mode. This motor design offers a torque constant of 3.03 Nm of torque for every ampere of current it consumes. At the maximum speed of 9000 rpm, this motor can produce a rotational torque of 68 Nm.
The MAD100B-0150-SA-M2-AQ5-35-N1 can be mounted perpendicularly on a stable base using the foot type mounting option, while for mounting at a height, this servo motor also supports the flange type mount, which not only reduces vibrations in the motor body but also reduces stress on the motor shaft and prevents it from breaking or being bent under high load. The manufacturer, Rexroth, recommends servicing the motor after every 20,000 cycles of use and replacing any high-speed components once every 30,000 cycles of use to reduce wear and tear and to prolong the life of the motor.
