The synthetic resin-encased winding is placed into the partially closed gap on the coated stator core. The number and thickness of the coils are altered to achieve varying numbers of poles or speeds. The stator is made up of the laminated core and the motor housing. In this motor, the difference between the speed of the rotor and the magnetic field varies but never becomes zero. The maximum allowed temperatures in the motors are represented and controlled by the thermal classes, which are also known as "insulation classes."

The MAD100B-0100-SA-S2-AL0-05-N1 is an alternating current motor with an incorporated squirrel-cage rotor.
