Product Description
The MAD100B-0100-SA-M2-KP1-05-R1 is an asynchronous motor which has been designed to meet the needs of applications which involve heavy load and require accurate control and high torque. This motor is part of the well-known MAD series in the Bosch Rexroth's IndraDyn A family, and it is developed to provide the best and reliable performance in numerous industries. It is especially suitable for generating high torque even at low speeds which is suitable for industries such as; machine tooling, printing, and textiles. It has a strong and small sized structure and it can easily be incorporated with IndraDyn drive controllers.
In operation the motor MAD100B-0100-SA-M2-KP1-05-R1 produces a lot of heat which must be well dissipated to avoid overheating of the motor windings. To counter this problem, the motor has been fitted with a forced cooling system which includes a three phase axial blower located at the back of the motor. This blower is capable of accepting different input power supplies to cool the product and to maintain the motor runnability. The blower part is connected to the power supply with cables and it does not have any controllers to control its working.
It is cooled by an air stream which is directed over its surface by air baffles. The fans should not be used in contaminated environments where there are abrasive particles, salt spray that may lead to corrosion, high dust or flammable particles according to the manufacturer's recommendation. Contaminated air causes reduced airflow which in turn leads to increase in temperature which may lead to damage of the motor. So it is very important that the fins and the fans are well maintained to provide the best airflow that the system can produce. Also, it is recommended that a minimum of 80mm should be kept to enable for proper cooling. The operating temperature of the motor as suggested by its manufacturer is 0 - 40 degree celsius.
