Product Description
The AC servo motor MAC114A-0-ED-4-C/180-L-1/WA605XX/S011 is part of the MAC series manufactured by Rexroth Indramat. The motor's compact design and high resistance of the rotor enable its use in applications where precision is a main focus. The special diameter and material of the motor help in achieving low inertia. There are two types of inertia in servo motors: motor inertia and load inertia. The motor's inertia is determined by the manufacturer, but the load inertia is computed through the addition of the inertia of the motor's rotational components.
Both types of inertia should be theoretically equal for the load to be effectively controlled during acceleration and deceleration. The output shaft, ED winding, motor feedback, centering diameter (180 mm), power connection, encoder, keyway, blocking brake (standard), and flanges are all included in the MAC series, so they can be paired with analogue drives. The connector is located on the left side of the motor. A manually operable release key is supplied with the brake motor in a standard setting so that the brake can be disabled without using any additional power.
The 520LV type incremental encoder operates on 5 V supply voltage square wave signals and gives output in the form of pulses (1.250 per revolution). The load capacity of the encoder is 20 mA at low or high square wave signals. An incremental encoder detects changes in the position. It doesn't provide an absolute location but rather indicates the distance between the rotating shaft and the reference point. When changing the drives, the reference point should not be modified because even a minor change results in considerable dimensional displacement.
