Product Description
The MAC114A-0-ED-3-C/180-B-0/S003 by Indramat Rexroth is an AC servo motor from the MAC series. There are six distinct versions of the MAC series: MAC 063, 071, 090, 093, 112, and 115. The AC motor combined with the drive controller creates a control system that responds quickly. The servo motor is long and has a flat surface. They are appropriate for applications requiring precise and rapid movements, as they allow for quick changes in deceleration or acceleration due to low inertia.
This motor is equipped with a feedback mechanism, a natural convectional cooling method, a pilot diameter, and a power connection. The 180 mm pilot diameter is only available in the S003, S011, S019, and S029 versions of the MAC series. The 114A (dimension) motor is only compatible with drives that produce discrete signals in the waveform. The natural convection mechanism transports heat in which fluid motion (gases or liquids) is not caused by any external source like a fan. The temperature gradients cause a shift in fluid density, which in turn promotes fluid motion due to buoyancy.
The ED-type winding improves the magnetic field and results in 3000 rotations of the rotor per minute. The DC voltage with a frequency proportional to the rotational speed is generated by a tachometer that is mechanically attached to the rotating shaft. Only drives with a single direction of rotation can use this tacho generator because the output voltage's polarity is independent of the rotational direction. The special centring diameter (180 mm) increases its compatibility to operate with other drives. The servomotor uses AC electrical input to convert angular velocity into mechanical output. This servomotor's output power typically ranges up to a few hundred watts.
