Product Description
The MAC114A-0-ED-2-C/180-A-0/S009 AC motor from the MAC series is manufactured by Rexroth Bosch. The stator's unique design and the high-resolution tacho feedback mechanism provide excellent smooth-running qualities. There are two types of motors in the MAC series: one is designed to operate at a comparatively low speed and load, and the other can handle very heavy loads. As the basic MAC motor with size 114 A is not intended to function in extreme conditions, it cools itself through natural convection. Forceful cooling methods (axial and radial fans) are also used in MAC motors, but only for those that are designed to carry excessive loads.
The heating and cooling processes of the motor follow an exponential pattern. The thermal time constant of the motor is approximately (75)5) minutes. It is the average time that the motor takes to attain approximately 63% of its normal state temperature. The thermal time constant depends on the size of the motor. The ED-type winding of the motor limits its use to standard applications; it cannot be utilized in situations where smooth run quality is the primary objective. The tacho feedback mechanism assists the controller in precisely maintaining motor speed under fluctuating loads.
The controller responds to the feedback signal by automatically making the necessary adjustments to handle the load variation and keeping the motor running at a steady speed. The 180 mm pilot diameter lowers vibration by reducing friction and increasing the smooth operation of the rotor. With its high cyclic load-carrying capacity and electronic commutation, the motor achieves high repetition rates and uninterrupted start-stop working, resulting in high output. There is no built-in holding brake in the motor because it has been designed to be used for simple operations.
