Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s automation units promise efficiency and sustainability for a wide range of applications. The company’s MAC motors are powerful servo motors with electronic commutation. They are used in applications like robotics, textile machines, transfer facilities, printing presses, and food packaging and processing machines.
The MAC112D-1-HD-3-C/130-A-2/S018 is one of the brushless servo motors in Bosch Rexroth’s MAC series. It features a heavy-duty blocking brake of 40Nm torque that uses the principle of electrical release. This holding brake holds the servo axes when the machine is powered off, protecting users. The servo motor also has an output shaft with keyway per DIN 6885-1 for a secure, precise, and form-fitting torque transmission. As a result, there is a reduced risk of slippage and even load distribution across the shaft. The motor feedback type of this MAC model is tachofeedback and second shaft end, used for evaluating the rotor’s position and velocity. Its nominal speed is 1,500 revolutions per minute.
Thermo switches are built into the motor windings and stator housing of the MAC112D-1-HD-3-C/130-A-2/S018 to prevent damage due to thermal overload. The motor is housed in an enclosure with an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65 in line with DIN 40 050, indicating that it is safe from the penetration of solid external materials and multidirectional water jets. Its power and tachofeedback cables are also designed to meet the requirement of this protection category. Pinions and belt pulleys are directly mounted onto its shaft since the design of its bearing assembly accommodates the application of high radial loads. Its compact size gives it a high-power-to-weight ratio and permits its installation in any orientation.
