Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s product portfolio comprises drive and motion control units like the powerful MAC motors. They are used to create rapid-response drives used in diverse applications, including textile machines, handling equipment, and robotics. To achieve this, they are combined with TDM, KDS and DSC drive controllers.
The MAC112D-0-HD-4-C/130-B-1/WI520LV/S021 is a Bosch Rexroth MAC motor with electronic commutation. It supports continuous start-stop operations with high repetitive frequencies since this electronic commutation gives it a high cyclic load capacity for such operations. A high cyclic load capacity means the motor can handle several stress cycles without failure due to fatigue. Its housing is sealed, meeting the demands of the IP 65 protection category per DIN 40 050, meaning it does not admit solid extrinsic materials and water jets from various directions. Hence, its safe operation under adverse conditions like the effects of coolants and soluble oil emulsions is possible. The housing is coated with a black prime coat, which protects it from weathering, yellowing, and chalky build-ups.
Lifetime-lubricated bearings in the MAC112D-0-HD-4-C/130-B-1/WI520LV/S021 reduce the need for maintenance, extending the motor’s service life. They also aid its smooth and efficient operation by ensuring its consistent operation. Since the need for external lubrication is eliminated, there is also a reduced risk of contamination and the use of incorrect lubricants. Like other motors in the series, this MAC model has thermo switches integrated into its windings and stator housing to prevent damage due to overheating. It is cooled by natural convection, where heat is transferred to the ambient air along a temperature gradient. The motor’s nominal speed is 1,500 revolutions per minute.
