Product Description
Bosch Rexroth is a thriving automation brand with top-notch drive and motion control products for diverse applications. One of these is the MAC servo motor, used to create rapid-response drives with the TDM, KDS and DSC drive controllers.
The MAC112D-0-FD-4-C/130-A-2/WA605XX/S018 is one of Bosch Rexroth’s maintenance-free servo motors in the MAC series. Its encoder system is tacho feedback with a mounted incremental encoder. This encoder is installed per standard mounting, while the tacho type is standard. The motor’s housing protects it from the penetration of solid external materials and water jets sprayed at it from different directions, meeting the demands of the IP 65 protection category per DIN 40 050. It also uses IP-65-rated power, tacho feedback, and encoder cables. Consequently, it can be safely operated directly within the working area of the machine, even under poor environmental conditions. The use of ready-made cables with the servo motor eliminates additional installation work.
Using the MAC112D-0-FD-4-C/130-A-2/WA605XX/S018 for highly dynamic operations is fitting because it has a favorable torque-inertia ratio for such operations. Its heavy-duty blocking brake has a holding torque of 60Nm and holds the servo axis backlash-free when the machine is disconnected from power. The MAC servo motor is also equipped with an output shaft with keyway according to DIN 6885-1 to provide form-fitting torque transmission. Like other motors in the series, this model has thermo switches that monitor its temperature and prevent irreversible damage due to thermal overload. It is cooled by natural convection and reaches a nominal speed of 2,000 revolutions per minute. As an electronically commutated motor, it supports continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates.
