Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s MAC AC servo motors are brushless motors with electronic commutation. They are especially suitable for creating rapid-response drives with the TDM, KDS and DSC drive controllers. These motors are widely used in applications like printing presses, machine tools, robotics, and textile machines.
The MAC112D-0-ED-4-C/180-B-1/WA605XX/S012 is a model of the highly functional AC servo motors in the MAC series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It has an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65, according to DIN 40 050, as it does not permit dust ingress or the penetration of multidirectional water jet sprays. Its tacho feedback, power, and encoder cables also correspond to this protection rating, making the motor suitable for use even under adverse environmental conditions without the risk of damage. The MAC motor is designed to accommodate a maximum current of 312A and reach a nominal speed of 3,000 revolutions per minute. It has a standard blocking brake of 40Nm torque to hold the servo axes backlash-free when the machine is disconnected from power. This holding brake uses the closed-circuit principle.
Cooling occurs via natural convection in the MAC112D-0-ED-4-C/180-B-1/WA605XX/S012. The motor’s high overload capacity is due to efficient heat exchange with the ambient air and the exterior walls of its housing. It is equipped with thermo switches that provide protection against irreversible damage due to thermal overload. Pinions and belt pulleys can be directly mounted onto the motor’s shaft because the design of its bearing assembly makes the application of high radial loads possible. Its use of ready-made cables eliminates additional installation work, and its compact design allows its installation in the most optimal orientation.
