Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s vast portfolio has some of the most innovative products with widespread use within the automation industry. Its MAC AC servo motors are designed to support applications like printing presses, robotics, and textile machines.
The MAC112D-0-ED-4-C/180-A-2/WI522LV/S042 is an electronically commutated servo motor in the MAC series by Bosch Rexroth. With its high cyclic load capacity, it is built to withstand repeated stress cycles without failure due to fatigue. Consequently, it is ideal for demanding operations like continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. The motor’s rotor position and velocity are detected and evaluated by its encoder system comprising tacho feedback with a mounted incremental encoder. This encoder can withstand varying environmental conditions and accommodates different supply voltages. Rare-earth materials are used in the permanent magnets of the MAC model’s rotor to ensure low inertia and a favorable torque-inertia ratio.
A heavy-duty blocking brake in the MAC112D-0-ED-4-C/180-A-2/WI522LV/S042 prevents its unintentional startup, protecting both the machine and its users. It holds the servo axes backlash-free using the closed-circuit principle. The servo motor uses bearings that are built to stay lubricated throughout their service life, reducing the need for continuous maintenance and promoting energy-efficient operations. These bearings have a nominal service life of 30,000 operating hours. The coating of the MAC model is a black prime varnish with impressive protective properties against weathering, yellowing, and chalky buildup. It is also resistant to the effects of diluted acids and lyes. The motor can accommodate a maximum pulse current of 312A and generate a nominal speed of 3,000 revolutions per minute. Its rotor’s moment of inertia is 230 x 10-4 kgm2.
