Product Description
Bosch Rexroth is a global automation brand easily distinguished by its array of top-notch drive and motion control products. One of these is the MAC motor, a high-performance AC servo motor with tacho feedback built for diverse applications.
The MAC112D-0-ED-4-C/180-A-2/WI522LV/S039 is a model of the permanent magnet-excited servo motors in the MAC series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. Tacho feedback with a mounted incremental encoder detects and evaluates its rotor position and velocity, supporting various supply voltages. The tacho type is standard, and the encoder can withstand a wide range of environmental conditions. This MAC model accommodates a maximum current of 312A and has a rotor moment of inertia of 230 x 10-4 kgm2. Its nominal speed is 3,000 revolutions per minute. Like others in the series, it is electronically commutated, meaning it displays a high cyclic load capacity. As a result, it is suitable for continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates.
An inbuilt temperature monitoring system protects the MAC112D-0-ED-4-C/180-A-2/WI522LV/S039 from the damaging effects of overheating. It consists of sensitive thermo switches in its windings that alert users of potentially harmful temperatures. The sealed housing of this MAC motor also protects it from multidirectional water jets and solid extrinsic materials as it is rated IP 65 according to DIN 40 050. It is cooled by natural convection, a low-cost and energy-conserving cooling method that contributes to its maintenance-free operation. Another feature of the motor that aids this is its use of bearings that remain lubricated throughout their service life. Its flange design supports mounting with throughholes per design IM B5 and with windings per design IM B14.
