Product Description
There are many applications for which Bosch Rexroth’s MAC servo motors are well-suited. These include handling equipment, printing presses, machine tools, and packaging machinery. The servo motors are compact, permanent magnet-excited motors available in varying torques and speeds.
The MAC112D-0-ED-4-C/180-A-2/WA610XX/S029 is a brushless AC servo motor with minimal maintenance requirements. It is a low-inertia motor with a rotor whose permanent magnets consist of rare-earth materials. With its favourable torque-inertia ratio, it is also suitable for highly dynamic operations. The encoder system in the motor is tacho feedback with a mounted encoder for detecting and evaluating both rotor position and velocity. This encoder is highly resistant to different environmental conditions and functions with high precision. To ensure its energy-efficient operation, the MAC model is equipped with bearings that remain lubricated throughout their service life of 30,000 operating hours. It is cooled by natural convection.
Protecting the MAC112D-0-ED-4-C/180-A-2/WA610XX/S029 from irreversible damage due to thermal overload are thermo switches integrated into its windings. It is also protected from dust ingress and the penetration of water jets from different directions by its housing, which meets the IP 65 protection rating per DIN 40 050. This housing’s coat is a black prime varnish that resists damage by chalky buildup, weathering, and yellowing. The heavy-duty blocking brake in the MAC servo motor uses the closed-circuit principle to ensure the backlash-free holding of the servo axes when the machine is powered off. Electronic commutation gives it a high cyclic load capacity so that it can withstand repeated stress cycles without failing due to fatigue. This makes the motor ideal for continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. Its nominal speed is 3,000 revolutions per minute.
