Product Description
Bosch Rexroth is a highly respected brand in the automation industry known for its cutting-edge technology, global presence, versatility, reliability, and commitment to sustainability. Its MAC motors are used in textile machines, handling equipment, robotics, and machine tools.
The MAC112D-0-ED-4-C/180-A-1/WI522LV/S047 is one of the brushless AC servo motors in Bosch Rexroth’s MAC series. Its sealed housing is covered with a black prime varnish with high resistance to weathering, yellowing, chalky build-ups, diluted acids, and lyes. This housing’s design meets the requirements of the IP 65 protection class according to DIN 40 050, meaning it is impervious to solid external materials and water jets. As a result, it can be safely operated under poor environmental conditions. Like other MAC motors, this model is electronically commutated and can accommodate continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates because of its high cyclic load capacity. Its nominal speed is 3,000 revolutions per minute.
Thermo switches are built into the stator windings of the MAC112D-0-ED-4-C/180-A-1/WI522LV/S047 to monitor its temperature and protect it from irreversible damage due to thermal overload. It has tacho feedback with a mounted incremental encoder for detecting and evaluating rotor position and velocity. The mounted encoder can withstand all kinds of environmental conditions. Thanks to its compact build, the MAC motor can be installed in any orientation that would suit its application-specific use. Pinions and belt pulleys can be directly mounted onto the motor’s output shaft because the design of its bearing assembly allows the application of high radial loads. Its rotor’s permanent magnets are composed of rare-earth materials, giving the motor a favorable torque-inertia ratio for highly dynamic operations.
