The MAC112D-0-ED-4-C/130-B-2/WA612XX/S013 is an AC servo motor in Bosch Rexroth’s MAC series with an IP-65-rated housing design. This means it is touch-proof, dustproof, and impervious to multidirectional water jet sprays, making it ideal for use under poor environmental conditions. Its power, encoder, and tacho feedback cables also belong to this protection category. The motor has a high overload capacity because heat is efficiently dissipated from its stator windings to the exterior walls of its housing. It uses natural convection for cooling, an energy-efficient mechanism involving heat transfer along a temperature gradient. Its encoder system comprises tacho feedback with a mounted encoder designed to withstand various environmental conditions.
Rare-earth materials used in constructing the permanent magnets in the MAC112D-0-ED-4-C/130-B-2/WA612XX/S013’s rotor give it low inertia. It also makes the motor suitable for highly dynamic operations by giving it a favorable torque-inertia ratio. The rotor’s moment of inertia is 230 x 10-4 kgm2. This MAC model is equipped with a heavy-duty blocking brake of 60Nm holding torque for holding the servo axes backlash-free when the machine is powered off. It uses the closed-circuit principle and requires a supply voltage of 24V DC. Its bearings remain lubricated throughout their service life of 30,000 operating hours, reducing maintenance requirements and eliminating the associated downtime. The MAC servo motor’s nominal speed is 3,000 revolutions per minute.
