MAC112D-0-ED-3-C/130-B-2/S018 is a Bosch servo motor. It is designed for industrial applications that include textiles, robotics, packaging machines and printing presses. Salient features of MAC motors include permanent magnets, electronic commutation, IP65 rated housing and cable connection, tacho feedback for precise motor control, and an optional holding brake. Operators can order MAC motors with surface cooling or convection cooling options. Operators can order motors with plain shafts or shafts with a keyway. The MAC112D-0-ED-3-C/130-B-2/S018 motor is delivered with a shaft that includes a keyway and complies with DIN 6885-1. An optional heavy-duty blocking brake is installed on the motor. This is an electrically operated device: after clamping onto the shaft, the brakes releases the shaft after receiving a 24 Volts DC electrical release signal from the motor controller.

MAC motors support tacho feedback technology developed especially for the product line. Tacho feedback provides speed and position evaluation. Operators can use MAC motors with controllers from the TDM, KDS and DSC product lines. In addition to controlling the brake, the controllers provide power for the motor and control its speed and torque. Separate connections for power and feedback are available on the motor. The power connection on the MAC112D-0-ED-3-C/130-B-2/S018 motor is on side B of the housing. Connectors for power and feedback connections are not supplied with the motor, and therefore must be ordered separately. Technical data specified for the motor is valid for 0 to 45 degrees Celsius ambient temperature and 0 to 1000 meters site elevation. If higher ambient temperatures and installation elevations occur simultaneously, then the respective load factors will multiply.
