MAC motors are compatible with KDC, TDM and DSC drive controllers. Applications for MAC motors include printing presses, packaging machinery, and robotics. Permanent magnets used in motor construction allow development of motors with low inertia. MAC motors support electronic commutation, which does not suffer from several of the disadvantages of carbon brushes used for commutation in brushed motors.
