Product Description
The MAC112C-1-HD-4-C/130-B-1/WI522LV is an asynchronous motor designed by Rexroth Bosch. Induction motors are among the most common AC motors and are referred to as asynchronous motors due to their mode of operation and speed. It is different from synchronous motors as they do not attain synchronous speed and rely on slip to produce torque in diverse applications. In an asynchronous motor, the magnetic field revolving in the stator generates an electromagnetic current in the rotor, thus helping in the production of rotational movement or torque. This slip between the stator and the rotor is the principle mechanism with which the torque is produced.
This motor has a standard blocking brake of 45 Nm. It provides extra stability to an asynchronous motor. This brake can be used when power is off, it keeps the motor shaft static and does not allow it to move accidentally. This feature is particularly important in industrial applications that demand a locked rotor torque when the motor is not running, for instance in conveyors or lift gear types that should remain in a fixed state.
This motor has an incremental encoder attached by the standard mounting denoted by WI. An incremental encoder with standard mounting is incorporated into this motor to make it even more efficient. Outputs from an incremental encoder provide precise speed, direction and position feedback as the rotor rotates and enable control systems to detect position feedback in a single revolution. The combination of an asynchronous motor, a standard blocking brake with 45 Nm torque and an incremental encoder is a highly versatile and stable solution for industrial applications that require precise control over the speed without the need for additional feedback data.
