MAC112C-0-KD-4-C/180-B-2 is a servo motor. It is designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. The motor is part of the MAC product line. It has an IP65 rated housing that provides complete dust protection and very strong moisture ingress protection. The cable connections on the motor are also IP65 compliant. As a result, operators can deploy MAC motors in areas where other less robust motors cannot be deployed. The maintenance-free operation of MAC motors is enabled by a brushless design and use of bearings that don?t require lubrication. Integrated temperature sensors on the windings help to prevent overload damage. The use of electronic commutation improves reliability and safety due to elimination of sparking associated with carbon brushes. MAC motors support an integrated tacho generators. Tacho feedback used on the motors provides speed and position evaluation.

The MAC112C-0-KD-4-C/180-B-2 motor is equipped with an additional incremental encoder. It also features a heavy duty blocking brake designed to prevent unintentional shaft rotation. Holding torque rating of the brake is 60 Nm. Voltage rating of the brake is 24 Volts DC and its current draw is 1.35 Amps. The release and clamping delay are 150 and 30 milliseconds respectively. The motor has a special centering diameter of 180 millimeters. Power for the motor arrives via a dedicated power cable that connects to a connection on side B of the housing.
