Product Description
The Rexroth MAC112C-0-KD-2-C/180-B-0/S012 is a Permanent magnet-excited motor with electronic commutation. The permanent magnets of the rotor are made up of materials that make it possible to construct motors with very low inertia. The use of lifetime lubricated bearings makes the Rexroth MAC112C-0-KD-2-C/180-B-0/S012 a maintenance-free Permanent magnet-excited motor.
The Rexroth MAC112C-0-KD-2-C/180-B-0/S012 relies on natural cooling and hence requires it to be installed in areas with a temperature less than 40 degrees Celsius and mounted at an altitude of 1000 meters above sea level. The higher level mounting allows the air from the environment to flow through the internals of the motor, helping it cool down its internal temperature. Motor temperature is monitored with thermo switches integrated into the motor windings and stator housing. This reading is then sent to a compatible control unit that allows the user to take necessary actions.
This particular motor features a Tacho feedback system that helps regulate the speed of the motor accurately under varying loads without affecting the speed and performance of the motor. This model comes with a special option that is with keyway per DIN 6885. This keyway design helps mount and lock external loads at the shaft of the motor and helps it rotate or transfer torque to the attached component. The motor is IP 65 rated with protection from dirt, scratches, liquid, and moisture. The shaft is not sealed hence it might be possible for the moisture or dirt to enter from the front end of the motor. Both the power and the encoder connectors are placed at the top of the motor facing the rear end, allowing for easy access.
