Natural convection is used to cool down the heated equipment of the motor eliminating the need for an axial fan or radial blower. The rotor spins at a nominal speed of 2000 min-1 as the windings are HD and the motor sends tacho feedback to the control system with the help of an absolute encoder for precision in tracking of position of the shaft and rotational speed. Featuring a centering diameter of 130, the connector is present on the B side of the motor. Standard blocking brakes that can deliver a torque of 45 Nm are also available in this model. These brakes require a nominal voltage of 14 volts and a nominal current of 0.75 A for optimal functioning and feature a release delay of 70 ms and clamping delay of 30 ms. The mass of the holding brakes is 1.1 kg combined with the mass of the motor i.e. 48 kg gives an overall mass value of the motor i.e. 49.1 kg. The moment of inertia of holding brakes is also as minimal as 3.6 x 10-4 kgm2 which facilitates emergency stops. Moreover, the moment of inertia of the rotor itself is also low (170 x 10-4 kgm2) which altogether makes this motor an ideal fit in industrial settings.
To make the most of this motor, it is recommended to operate it in the ambient temperature range of 0 ℃ to 45 ℃ and keep the temperature between the ranges of -20 ℃ to 80 ℃ while transporting it or when it’s in the storage room.
