Product Description
Asynchronous motors or induction motors by Rexroth Bosch are the most used motors in industrial applications because of characteristics like simplicity, reliability and effectiveness. The MAC112C-0-ED-4-C/130-B-1/WI530LX motor is an asynchronous motor that has improved functions incorporating an incremental encoder with standard mounting indicated by WI, connected to it. Asynchronous motors perform operations based on electromagnetic induction, and electric current is set up in the rotor by the magnetic field in the stator. The rotor doesn't need to be connected to the electric supply directly. This makes the motor simpler and stronger than the other asynchronous motors.
The motor's speed depends on the frequency of an AC supplied to the stator. The use of stator and rotor windings that lack brushes and commutators leads to low maintenance and high motor durability; thus, recommended for usage in industries. Asynchronous motors can run at different load conditions and give a constant performance in industrial applications. The primary function of the incremental encoder with standard mounting is to improve the operation of the motor by giving information on the position of the rotor. The encoder generates pulses as the rotor rotates and the pulse series is used to measure the rotor speed and angle. This information is supplied to the motor control system to make changes in its speed and position when in operation.
Standard mounting for an incremental encoder is beneficial because it is easy to install, maintain and replace the encoder. The standard mounting makes the encoder fix on the motor properly. It provides feedback when the motor is vibrating or has movements. Due to their function, incremental encoders are particularly important in applications involving precise speed and position feedback such as robotics, automation manufacturing, and material handling.
