MAC112C-0-ED-3-C/180-A-2/S029 is a MAC series servo motor from Bosch Rexroth. The motor is designed with special features including 180 millimeters centering diameter, shaft with keyway and a heavy duty holding brake. Specifications of the holding brake include 60 Nm holding torque, 24 Volts DC nominal voltage, 1.35 Amps nominal current, 150 milliseconds release delay, 30 milliseconds clamping delay and 3.5 kilogram weight. The shaft with keyway is DIN 6885-1 compliant. This brake is a safety device and works according to the electrical release principle. It clamps onto the shaft, and only allows it to rotate after receiving the DC release signal from the motor controller. In addition to controlling motor speed and position, the controller supplies electrical power for the motor. The motor power connection is on side A of the housing.

Connector for the power cable must be ordered separately. Length of the MAC112C-0-ED-3-C/180-A-2/S029 motor is 460 millimeters. Size of the flange on the motor is 193 millimeters. Each of the four mounting holes on the motor has a 14 millimeter diameter. Diameter of the main shaft is 32 millimeters. Approximately 60 millimeters of the shaft are outside the main housing. The MAC112C-0-ED-3-C/180-A-2/S029 motor supports tacho feedback. A dedicated connector is available on the housing for the feedback cable. The tacho feedback connector must be ordered separately. Bosch has designed the motor for convection cooling. Temperature range for rated output is 0 to 45 degrees Celsius. The site elevation range for rated output is 0 to 1000 meters. Unused MAC motors require -20 to 80 degrees Celsius ambient temperature at the storage location. Only properly trained technical personnel must install and operate MAC motors.
