Product Description

The MAC112C-0-ED-3-C/130-A-2/S013 AC servomotor by Bosch Rexroth is equipped with tacho feedback and second shaft options. The second shaft end of the motor has a protection category of IP 65, i.e., the component mounted need not be completely sealed. The device can be mounted in any orientation. The unit can be operated in printing presses, robotics, textile machines, and transfer facilities. The product is designed and constructed to offer a high degree of reliability. The pilot diameter of the device is 130 mm. Its winding type is ED. The motor winding comes with a nominal rpm of 3000 per minute. The MAC motor comes with a heavy-duty holding brake to clamp its output shaft in a standstill mode. The holding torque of the brake is 60 Nm. The brake works along the closed-circuit principle. At zero current, a magnetic force acts on the brake armature disc. In other words, the brake is locked and holding off the axis. When 24 V DC is applied, the electrical field cancels the permanent magnetic field and the brake opens. The holding brake is not a working brake. It tends to wear down after 20,000 motor revolutions against the closed brake. The motor is cooled by natural convection. The motor housing is painted with a black prime coat. The power connection of the MAC motor is directed to side A. The connections integrated into the power connection of the motor include a power cable, a connecting cable for the thermo switch, and a connecting cable for the brake. Thermo switches are built into the windings of the unit and the stator housing. They are electrically connected in series and conducted together at the power connection out of the motor housing. These thermo switches monitor the temperature of the product.

Frequently Asked Questions about MAC112C-0-ED-3-C/130-A-2/S013

Q: Who is allowed to mount the MAC motor to the machine?

A: The MAC motor should be mounted to the machine only by fully trained personnel.

Q: What drive controllers is the MAC motor compatible with?

A: The MAC motor is compatible with the TDM, KDS, and DSC drive controllers from the same manufacturer.

Q: Why should impacts on the output shaft and heavy loads at the shaft of the MAC motor be avoided?

A: Impacts on the output shaft and heavy loads at the shaft of the MAC motor should be avoided because this could damage the bearings within the motor.

Q: How many holes are there in the housing of the MAC motor?

A: There are two M8 tapped holes in the housing of the MAC motor. Lifting screws, per DIN 580, can be screwed into place here. These can then be used to hold the motor in place by a suitable lifting device.

Q: Does the MAC motor have brushes?

A: No, the MAC motor does not have brushes; the motor is designed to perform electronic commutation.
