Product Description
Part of the MAC series of Servo motors, the MAC112B-1-LD-3-C/180-A-2/S029 is designed for industrial applications such as packaging machines, conveyor belts, textiles, and robotics. This industrial servo motor has a locked rotor torque rating of 17.5 Nm while it draws around 26.3 Amperes of current. Since this motor can draw high amounts of current, it is recommended to use a sufficient and efficient power supply to prevent undercurrent operations, which may lead to electrical stress.
This motor has a rotor inertia of 0.00124 kgm^2, which is one of the lowest in the series, and such low inertia helps the motor accelerate its speed much more quickly and also decelerate without the need for time to stabilize itself. The motor does come with a tacho feedback system to help the motor send feedback signals over to the control module so that it can send control signals to help regulate the speed of the motor. The tacho feedback voltage is 3 volts DC for every 1000 rpm of speed this motor generates.
To help track the shaft movement, the MAC112B-1-LD-3-C/180-A-2/S029 comes with an incremental encoder that has a step count resolution of 1024 steps that breaks one complete 360 rotation into 1024 small pieces, helping increase the precision of the motor shaft. This motor also comes with a 45 Nm electrically engaged blocking brake that requires 24 volts DC to operate. This blocking brake prevents the motor shaft from rotating and is needed for the locked rotor configuration of the motor. It also helps prevent the shaft from slipping from its position. The brake can have a release delay of 30 ms and a clamping delay of 70 ms.
