The MAC series of Bosch Rexroth Indramat has brought in the MAC112B-0-LD-4-C/130-B-1/DI524LV/S009 servo motor to the market which is a perfect example of the new age engineering with durability. This motor is carefully designed for excellent durability and efficiency; therefore suitable for the most challenging industrial uses. The housings and covers meet the most rigid of standards, the DIN 40 050, to give protection against external objects and water intrusion. Furthermore, contact guards offer protection from the moving or live parts thus enhancing safety and reliability.

The motor has quite a high speed of 2000 RPM and 17.5 Nm of torque at standstill which makes it very efficient and reliable in its function especially in challenging conditions. This high performance motor has an overall mass of 36 kg. What is worthwhile mentioning is that this design features a conventional blocking brake of 45 Nm that may be useful for certain applications where a braking system is needed. The motor also incorporates natural convection cooling to ensure that it does not overheat and hence it requires no extra cooling systems.

For the best results, the motor should be used in a temperature range of 32 to 113 degrees F and should be mounted no higher than 3280 ft above sea level. If these guidelines are not followed, then there may be a decrease in the performance and this will call for a load factor adjustment.
