Product Description
The MAC112A-0-ZD-4-C/130-B-1/DI524LV/S014 is an AC servo motor with a special option feature of a standard blocking brake with a braking torque of 45 Nm. This AC servo motor can spin with a speed of up to 1500 rotations per minute. To stop or hold the shaft from spinning, this motor adds to the overall precision of the design by adding a brake block. The brake block requires 24 volts DC to operate and has a clamping time delay of 28 ms which is pretty quick.
This motor features an incremental encoder, which uses a hall effect sensor to count the number of increments using square wave pulses. Negative square waves indicate rotation in an anticlockwise direction, which makes the motor controller easily control the direction of the motor. This encoder has a supply voltage rating of 5 volts DC with 5% room for tolerance. The encoder has a sampling frequency of 300 kHz, which is pretty quick considering it scans for 300k samples every second, making it accurate and less prone to errors.
The MAC112A-0-ZD-4-C/130-B-1/DI524LV/S014 has an IP 67 rating which is perfect for harsh industrial environments that may cause corrosion or affect the internals of the motor due to extreme environmental conditions. The motor does not feature a cooling fan, however, Rexroth recommends installing the motor in an open environment with a maximum altitude of 1000 meters above sea level. The connector on the motor is placed on the rear end to keep the wiring clean and easy to access during operation, preventing accidents. It is always recommended to first de-energize the coil of the motor before proceeding to work on it.
