Product Description
The MAC093B-0-JS-4-C/130-A-3/WI520LV/S005 is a variant of the MAC series that has a variety of AC motors designed by Rexroth Indramat. This electronically commutated motor is intended to operate on an AC power supply, however, it is more closely related to a DC (direct current) motor. It functions as a brushless motor with a permanent magnet and on-board electronics. As the circuit of the rotor is completed, current passes through the winding of the rotor and reacts with the flux that is rotating to produce torque. In a steady state, the rotating shaft spins at a speed that's close to synchronous speed.
The MAC093B-0-JS-4-C/130-A-3/WI520LV/S005 motor features JS-type winding, convection cooling and 093B dimensions. The motor's incremental encoder produces a stream of digital pulses proportionate to the revolution of the driven shaft or motor, providing feedback on direction, speed, and relative location. An incremental encoder is made simply by using only a few sensors. The incremental encoder operates based on converting the angular position of the shaft into a digital signal or pulse via an optical disk. For each revolution, several pulses are generated and each pulse represents an increment relative to the resolution (speed & position).
Every time the motor is turned on, it moves along the characteristic curve until it attains its stable operating position. The rotor winding's design, composition, and number of poles, have an impact on the characteristic curves. One of the significant features of this IP65-protected induction motor is its superior solid particle and dust protection. The "6" rating means that the AC motor is dust-resistant and the "5" grade indicates that the motor is water-resistant.
