The blocking brake requires a 24 Volts DC signal for shaft release. Current consumption of the brake is 0.7 Amps. Its release delay is 60 milliseconds and its clamping delay is 20 milliseconds. Proper routing of power and encoder cables protects against damage and ensure proper signal transmission. The encoder cables should be routed with shielding and separated from load voltage lines and mains control lines. The encoder connectors must not be connected or disconnected while the motor is powered on.
