Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s dependable automation solutions are engineered to ensure consistent performance delivery for various applications. With its MAC AC motors, users can create rapid-response servo drives used in printing presses, packaging machinery, handling equipment, machine tools, and textile machines.
The MAC090C-1-GD-4-C/110-B-0/DI524LV/S014 is a brushless AC servo motor in Bosch Rexroth’s MAC series. Its IP 65-rated housing is designed to prevent dust ingress and the penetration of water jets sprayed at it from different directions. This housing also protects from contact with motor parts, either moving or alive. It permits the operation of the MAC model directly within the working area of the machine, even under poor environmental conditions. To enhance its operational reliability, the MAC motor’s power, encoder, and tacho feedback cables also meet the IP 65 demands according to DIN 40 050. Thanks to its temperature monitoring system, irreversible damage due to thermal overload can be averted. The system comprises thermo switches built into its windings.
Surface cooling is the cooling mechanism utilized by the MAC090C-1-GD-4-C/110-B-0/DI524LV/S014 for heat elimination. It uses an axial fan and accommodates extreme loads like continuous start-stop operations with high repetitive frequencies. Electronic commutation in the MAC model also makes it suitable for such operations as it gives it a high cyclic load capacity. This means the motor can withstand repeated stress cycles without failure or degradation in performance. Its nominal speed is 3,000 revolutions per minute, and its rotor’s moment of inertia is 53 x 10-4 kgm2. It also has a centering diameter of 110mm. Position detection in the motor is via tacho feedback with a mounted incremental encoder with shock-damped mounting.
